Steven called me “mean” for the first time, and also tried to deliberately hurt my feelings for the first time. #milestone
Below is a semi-condensed version of how things went down last night.
Sad to say, Steven had another attitude-filled moment later that night. And although we had things resolved by bedtime, I think he needed a little more comfort than usual because he (and Ben!) snuck into our bed in the middle of the night.
He’ll always be my baby.
This Snapchat episode was from March 11.
This no-sleep incident was from March 10.
Steven was really excited about the family “celebrate reading” night at his school. This year’s theme was “Avoid Extinction, Read!” with dinosaur imagery. I may have taken it a little too far with my suggestions.
Snapchat stories are available for only 24 hours, so here are screenshots of my latest epic:
This is my first inappropriate comic ever.
This is a map of our house. The boys’ bedroom is pretty much directly across from the hallway bathroom, complete with working toilet, electricity, running water, and carpeted hallway. But inevitably in the middle of the night when they wake up to go to the bathroom, they will run all the way across the cold hardwood floor entryway hallway to our room – risking stepping on Legos or tripping over the random things they’ve left there the day before – into OUR bathroom.
This morning, Matthew wanted to come into our room to go to the bathroom and when Steve told him to go to his own bathroom, he broke out into legitimate tears and said, “B-b-b-b-bu-but the other bathroom is to-to-to-too SMALL!!!!”
Playing 20 questions with Matthew can be… challenging.
Our good friends got married recently, and our whole family got to attend the wedding. It was their second wedding that they’ve been to, but the first wedding where we danced. Our boys had a blast!
