After weeks of interrupted sleep and a crowded queen bed, we instituted a new system with a sleep chart. The boys would get the date circled for each night they spent in their beds. Otherwise, they would get an “x” and have to start over. The reward for sleeping 7 nights in a row (Matthew) or 14 nights in a row (Steven) in their own beds was a guilt-free all-night sleepover in our bed. The chart really helped to motivate Matthew, especially, but we still had interrupted sleep occasionally thanks to a certain active kitten.
